Pulsflow

Stasjonær vannføringsmåler
• Measurement of conducting and non-conducting liquids
• Measurement of phase mixtures (e. g. water/sand) and very dirty liquids
• Temperature measurement of the liquid
• Simple additional installation without line interruption
• Maintenance under process conditions by shut-off valves
• No pressure loss
• No movable parts
• Immune to fouling by greases and oils because of electrodeless measurement
Previous measurement procedures are restricted to certain qualified conditions or limited in the practical handling.
So, mechanical flow measurements like diaphragms, nozzles or winged wheel cause unwanted pressure losses, depending on the
system. Non-homogeneous, fibrous or abrasive liquids lead to disturbances or rapid wear.
Electronic flow measurements however, such as magnetically inductive devices are only suitable for conductive media and can
only be installed or serviced by line interruption. Ultrasonic-transit time measurements are only suitable in clean or easily
fouled liquids. With earlier version ultrasonic Doppler measuring devices, only limited accuracy is achieved, because the
capture range of the velocity cannot be defined in the flow cross-section.
With the new pulse ultrasound technology, electronic flow measurement is optimised. Over one thousand short ultrasound-impulse
bundles per second are transmitted in the medium. Using transit-time measurement of the reflection, the axial flow velocity
is obtained. The flow is determined by a defined characteristic curve function accounting for the Reynolds factor and nominal
width.
PulsFlow measures in all conducting and non-conducting liquids of very low to very high solid material portions. The PulsFlow
can be installed without process interruption and in pipes of various materials. With PulsFlow you achieve economical and
reliable flow measurements under different operating conditions.
